The Lincoln City County Monday voted to adopt Ed Mejia’s design for a new City flag titled, “All Roads Lead to Lincoln”.
Mayor Leirion Gaylor Baird congratulated the local graphic designer and invited the public to a ceremonial flag raising and celebration on Thursday, February 24th at Pinnacle Bank Arena from 4 until 6 p.m.
“I look forward to seeing our City’s beautiful new banner flying high across the city, reminding residents and visitors that all are welcome here,” said Gaylor Baird.
There were 190 entries in the ReFlag Lincoln contest conducted last year by the Lincoln YPG and the Lincoln Chapter of the AMA.
The new design will replace the flag that has represented the city well since 1932.
