Former Nebraska defensive end Jay Moore was named color commentator for the Husker Radio Network’s broadcasts of Nebraska Football this season. Moore, an Elkhorn native, played defensive end for the Cornhuskers from 2002-06. He played in the NFL for the 49ers, Rams and Titans, before finishing his pro football career with the Omaha Nighthawks of the UFL. Moore has worked as an analyst on Nebraska Public Media’s Big Red Wrapup and NPM’s coverage of the state high school championship games.

Moore replaces Damon Benning, who was hired as Nebraska football’s Director of Player Development/Brand Strategy. Moore joins Kyle Crooks, beginning his second year as the Voice of the Huskers. Crooks and Moore can be each Nebraska football gameday on KLIN and Froggy 98.
