Lincoln Police are investigating after a 27-year-old man was violently attacked around 12:45 Sunday morning. LPD Public Information Manager Erika Thomas officers were sent to U-STOP at 110 West ‘O’ Street on a report of a man who had been stabbed and was asking for help.
“Witnesses told officers an unknown man approached two men, including the victim, in the area of 1st and M streets, stabbed the victim twice in the chest and then left,” says LPD Public Information Manager Erika Thomas. “The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.”
Thomas says the victim has since been released from the hospital. “The investigation is ongoing as officers continue interviewing those involved, work to locate the suspect, determine a motive, weapon used.”
