Lincoln Transportation and Utilities has closed northbound South 27th Street between Franklin Street and Arlington Avenue for emergency water main repairs.
There’s no estimate yet on when the work will be finished. Drivers are being detoured west on South Street to 17th Street, then north to “A” Street.
Motorists are encouraged to avoid the area if possible and use caution around the work zone. The city is asking motorists to slow down near the work zone and watch for crews. Updates on the closure are available on the City of Lincoln’s street closure map and through the Waze app.
