A rider on an electric motorcycle is facing multiple citations after Lincoln Police say they were caught traveling 57 miles per hour in a 35-mile-per-hour zone. LPD says the traffic stop happened Sunday near 27th and Vine streets.
Police say the rider received a speeding citation carrying a $300 fine and $95 in court costs, along with several additional citations. Officers also towed the electric motorcycle because the rider could not provide proof of ownership. Police say it was the vehicle’s second violation in just two weeks.
Lincoln Police are reminding everyone, whether riding an e-bike, e-motorcycle, scooter or driving a vehicle, to obey traffic laws, slow down and help keep roads safe.
