Lincoln Police are asking for the public’s help identifying suspects in two separate incidents that happened at Lincoln Walmart stores on May 3rd. LPD’s Becky Keller  says surveillance video captured three women and one man working together in a shoplifting case at the Walmart on Andermatt Drive around 7:00 p.m.

“They walked around the store, selecting items, and placing them inside a tote in their cart,” Keller says. “They then took the items to the self-checkout and chose to only scan and pay for select items, but loaded everything back into their cart and left with it.”

Keller says one of the suspects was a white female who had a large floral tattoo on her neck. Another suspect was a white woman who wore her hair in a double bun style. “She had a significantly large, dark tattoo on the right side of her neck and what appeared to be a cursive word on the back of her neck.”

They were accompanied by a black man wearing a camo hoodie, and a black woman with long, curly blonde hair. The four left in a white Chevy Malibu.

In a separate case that same evening, Keller says a man is accused of scamming a Walmart employee out of $500. “Officers met with the victim a few days later who said he had gotten off work at the Jamie Lane Walmart around 8:00 when he was approached by a man in a blue Nissan Rogue,” Keller says. “He said the man gave him a sob story and asked for $500, stating he would pay him back the following day.”

Keller says the victim said his friend was also approached at a different Walmart by the same man asking him for money as well. “Thankfully his friend thought it was odd and took clear photos of the man.” The man never showed up the following day to re-pay the money.

Keller says he was driving a blue Nissan Rogue. If you can help identify any of the suspects, you can make an anonymous report to Crime Stoppers at (402) 475-3600. An anonymous tip can also be left online through lincolncrimestoppers.com.
