Lincoln Police are searching a suspect following a Friday afternoon stabbing.  LPD says officers were sent to an area hospital on reports of a man who had been stabbed. Upon arrival officers made contact with a 45-year-old Lincoln man who reported that he had been in the area of 17th and J streets when he had been approached by an unknown person and had been stabbed one time.

The victim received treatment and is expected to survive. No arrests have been made at this time but LPD does not believe there is an ongoing threat to the public. The Lincoln Police Department requests anyone who has information on this incident, to include video or audio recordings, to contact the non-emergency number at 402 441-6000.
