Lincoln Crime Stoppers is asking for the public’s help identifying suspects involved in a hit-and-run driver and an assault suspect.  LPD’s Becky Keller says  on Wednesday, May 27th around 8pm, an employee at the North 27th Hy-Vee called police to report his vehicle had been hit in the parking lot sometime during his shift.

“Video was reviewed and a small silver Nissan Sentra was captured on camera during the time of that accident,” Keller says. “That vehicle pulls into the parking lot, parks in a proper stall, then a short time later pulls forward into the wrong direction and parks improperly, hitting the victim’s vehicle.” Keller says she then went into the store where she was captured on camera.

The second case goes back to Friday, March 13th around 5:30pm. “A woman called Lincoln Police to report she was at Walmart on Jamie Lane in south Lincoln when she saw a man assault another man,” Keller says. “The victim was bleeding from cuts on his hands and from the left side of his forehead. The woman stayed with the victim until Lincoln Fire and Rescue could arrive to render aid to him.”

The suspect is a white male. He was described as 5’8″, 150lbs, in his early 30’s, and he was wearing a Scooby Doo t-shirt. “We’re asking if anybody can help identify him to please contact Crime Stoppers.”
