Nebraska outfielder Drew Grego was named a second-team freshman All-American by National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association on Monday afternoon. Grego hit .326 with seven home runs and 44 RBI with 13 doubles. His 44 RBI were third-most by a Husker freshman this century, trailing only Matt Hopper (2000) and Alex Gordon (2003). Grego becomes the third freshman All-American under head coach Will Bolt, joining Leighton Banjoff (2020) and Max Anderson (2021).
