Lincoln Police a man was arrested following a one vehicle crash around 1:45 Friday morning at 18th and ‘O’ Street. An LPD crash report shows the southbound vehicle hit the raised median. Officers made contact with the 35-year-old driver, who was observed to be under the influence of alcohol.
The driver was taken to the hospital by Lincoln Fire and Rescue with a possible eye injury. LPD Public Information Manager Erika Thomas says during the investigation, officers found a bag containing 3.7 grams of marijuana.
She says the driver also had a blood alcohol level of .177, more than twice the legal limit. He was booked into the Lancaster County Jail for second-offense DUI and was cited and released for negligent driving and possession of marijuana.
