Nebraska earns No. 13 national seed, hosting regionals

The NCAA announced start times for the first round of the Women’s College World Series, with the games to be played Thursday in Oklahoma City, Okla. No. 1 Nebraska softball will face Arkansas at 8:30 p.m., the final first-round game of the day.

The Cornhuskers steamrolled Oklahoma State in Super Regionals, beating the Cowgirls by a combined 17-2. Nebraska is heading to the WCWS for the eighth time in program history and the fourth time under head coach Rhonda Revelle, who became the third coach in NCAA history to guide a team to the WCWS in four different decades.

The Razorbacks throttled Duke in its Super Regional, earning a pair of mercy-rule wins by a combined 24-7. Arkansas is making its first-ever appearance at the Women’s College World Series. Three Huskers: Hannah Camenzind, Lauren Camenzind and Kacie Hoffman began their careers with the Razorbacks.
