Update:   Lincoln Police reports officers were able to determine the recovered gifts had been taken from a Honda Accord parked in the 1000 block of N 63rd Street on December 26, 2021.  Officers determined the owner of the vehicle was temporarily holding the gifts until their grandmother could get  and give them to her great-grandchildren.  LPD reports they are happy to the recovered gifts are back with their intended owner.

Lincoln Police were called to 20th and Garfield around 11:30 a.m. on December 20th to investigate a stolen Honda Pilot that had been parked on the street. The thief broke a window to get inside and take the vehicle during the overnight hours.

The Honda was located near 16th and Washington on January 17th. Inside, officers found stolen property including several Christmas presents addressed from “Grandma Nancy” to several children. The Lincoln Police Department would like to get those gifts to the intended recipients.
