Lincoln Police say no one was seriously hurt after a vehicle crashed into a restaurant near 27th and Hill Road around 5:45 Monday evening. LPD Public Information Manager Erika Thomas says 34-year-old Sylvia Holloway initially told police an unknown man was driving the car.
The investigation determined Holloway was alone in the vehicle and drove from Sam’s Club, across the parking lot, and into into the side of Asian Buffet. Thomas says the car hit the cooler and water heater inside the building. Investigators say damage is estimated at $10,000 each.
There was also an estimated $15,000 in loss of food due to the cooler damage. Holloway suffered minor injuries and refused to be transported to the hospital. She was ultimately cited and released for driving during revocation and false reporting.
