Lincoln Police were called to the U-Stop at 13th and South Street Sunday night to investigate a disturbance.  “When they arrived, the disturbance had resolved itself and the individuals involved had left,” says LPD Captain Max Hubka.  “But they observed an unrelated person who was passed out in the vehicle.”

Hubka says the man complied with officers to come out of the vehicle.  He says the intoxicated man began struggling with officers when they tried to handcuff him.

“They ended up wrestling on the ground for about 2-3 minutes before one of the officers was able to disengage and deploy two taser cartridges.”    Additional officers arrived and they were able to take the man into custody. He was booked for assaulting an officer.
