Nebraska men’s basketball made its first addition to the roster from the portal, as Belmont forward Sam Orme announced his commitment to the Cornhuskers Thursday afternoon. Orme averaged 12.7 points per game and 5.0 rebounds per game while shooting 39.7% from behind the arc. The Bruins offense was one of the most efficient in all of college basketball, as Belmont hit 41 percent of its three-point shots this year, the best percentage in the nation.

Orme has two years of eligibility remaining. The Bruins won the regular season Missouri Valley Conference championship, but after Belmont lost in the conference tournament, Belmont head coach Casey Alexander departed for K-State and Orme entered the portal.

Orme joins the roster after three Huskers, including starting forward Berke Buyuktuncel, announced their departures to the portal in the first 48 hours of the portal being open.
