Nebraska forward Berke Buyuktuncel announced he’ll be leaving the Cornhuskers and transferring to another program. As a junior, Buyuktuncel averaged 6.5 points per game and 5.6 rebounds per game while starting 33 games and serving as the emotional sparkplug for the record-setting Huskers. He’s the biggest loss for Nebraska in the first two days of the transfer portal, and at least the third Husker to enter the portal. Freshman guard Quentin Rhymes announced he was entering the portal soon after it opened Tuesday, while redshirt freshman forward Justin Bolis, a Lincoln High graduate, also entered the portal in its first day open.
