Nebraska men’s basketball’s record-breaking season ends with the second-highest season ending ranking in school history, as the Cornhuskers were tabbed No. 14 in the final Associated Press poll of the season. It’s only the third time Nebraska has ended the season in the AP’s top 25. In 1990-91, the Huskers were ranked No. 11 despite losing in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. That team was the prior record-holder for most wins in school history with 27 wins. This year’s Huskers won 28 as NU won its first-ever NCAA Men’s tournament game, then advanced to the Sweet 16 for good measure. The 1993-94 Huskers finished that season ranked No. 22.
