The Lincoln Airport will launch new nonstop service to Las Vegas and Orange County this week, marking an airline service milestone for LNK and new low-cost option for flyers.

Airport officials say the inaugural Breeze Airways flight is scheduled to arrive Wednesday, April 8, around 2:10 p.m., with departure shortly after from Lincoln Airport.

The new service adds two destinations to Breeze’s existing Orlando route, which began in December.

Rachel Barth, the airport’s director of air service development and marketing, said the flights are part of a broader effort to expand affordable travel options.

“We’re super excited. It’s the first true West Coast California flight we’ve, I think, ever had,” Barth told KLIN News. “This will give those the opportunity to go to Vegas or Orange County right out of LNK.”

Flights will operate on Wednesdays and Saturdays through Breeze’s Airbus A220 aircraft with about 137 seats. The Las Vegas route will continue on the same plane to Orange County, allowing passengers to remain onboard without changing aircraft—also known as a through flight, or BreezeThru in the company’s parlance.

Barth said the additional service offerings align with the airport’s strategic plan to increase both airline service and capacity, and attracting low-cost carriers and expanding destinations. Pricing for the new routes is expected to be competitive, with some introductory fares as low as $70 to $90.

The airport is also promoting an in-person booking option through Breeze’s “Ticket Tuesdays,” where travelers can book flights at the airport and avoid certain online fees.
