Lincoln Police are investigating a pair of alarming phone calls made Saturday evening.  Captain Todd Kocian says around 7:15 p.m. officers were sent to the Stop & Shop near 33rd and Yankee Hill Road after an unknown man called the Communications Center claiming he had shot his mother and gave that location.

Kocian says when officers arrived, they found no signs of a disturbance, and the business was operating as usual.  “While still on scene speaking with an employee, dispatch received a second call from a man reporting he had shot his mother and father and gave an address near Katrina Lane and Grainger Parkway.”

Officers responded to that location as well, but again found nothing out of the ordinary.  Kocian says they are trying to determine where the calls came from.
