A former Lincoln Public Schools high school teacher accused of inappropriately touching several female students entered a not guilty plea on Thursday. 62-year-old Daniel Holmberg of Lincoln pleaded not guilty to four felony counts of sexual abuse by a school worker, including two second-degree charges and two third-degree charges.
Lincoln Police say officers were called to Northeast High School around 3:00 on December 2nd on a report of sexual abuse by a school employee. LPD says multiple students reported inappropriate touching by an Holmberg, an English Learner Teacher.
Public Information Manager Erika Thomas said back in December that LPD’s Special Victims Unit forensically interviewed multiple female teenage victims, all of whom speak different primary languages other than English. Through the investigative process, probable cause was developed to arrest Holmberg.
Holmberg started at Northeast in the fall of 2023.
