Lincoln Crime Stoppers is asking for the public’s help identifying suspects in two separate cases: one involving an assault on a city bus; the other involving a motorcycle fleeing from police.

The first case occurred around 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, on a StarTran bus.

LPD Video Forensics Technician Becky Keller said the victim in this case was having a conversation with a couple people on the bus, when a man sitting near the back of the bus charged at him and punched him in his head three times.

The attack was unprompted, according to Keller. The suspect was described as a white male in his late 20’s wearing a bright orange backpack.

The second case occurred around 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 21, 2026, near 48th and “O” Streets.

Keller said officers attempted to stop a smaller sized motorcycle driving without any plates, but when the officer turned on their lights and attempted to stop the bike, the driver went off the road and nearly crash upon hitting a curb. Upon regaining control, the motorcyclist sped off northbound through the Super Saver parking lot.

The driver was described as wearing a blue shirt, dark jeans, red backpack, and a ski mask style head covering,
