Anyone seeking a career with the Nebraska State Patrol has a few more days to apply.  Applications are open at NebraskaTroopers.com through March 31. “Serving as a Nebraska State Trooper offers endless opportunities to grow, to serve, and to make a meaningful impact in communities across our great state,” says Colonel Bryan Waugh, Superintendent of the Nebraska State Patrol.

“Troopers make a difference every single day. Apply now, and you could join the team working to keep Nebraska safe.”  The next NSP training class is set to begin on July 6 with graduation scheduled for December 18.

Recruits earn $28.85 per hour during training and receive a raise to $33.75 per hour upon graduation. Troopers also receive an excellent retirement plan, health, vision, dental, and life insurance, as well as free college tuition for you and your dependents at the University of Nebraska, state colleges, or community colleges.

Troopers also have opportunities for additional pay, including overtime hours at 1.5 times their base salary rate, shift differential pay of an additional $1.00 per hour if they are regularly assigned to the night shift, and a 2.5 percent pay increase for qualifying as bilingual. Troopers also receive a monthly $100 stipend to cover expenses.
