In celebration of the Nebraska men’s basketball team reaching the Sweet 16 for the first time in program history, the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum has unveiled the Kent Pavelka Bobblehead, which honors the longtime radio voice of Nebraska Cornhuskers basketball.

The talking bobblehead features several of Kent’s catch-phrases.  “We’re excited to unveil the first bobblehead of popular Nebraska radio announcer Kent Pavelka, who has been calling Husker games since 1974,” National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum co-founder and CEO Phil Sklar says.

“With Nebraska advancing to the Sweet 16 for the first time in program history, Kent’s game-winning call is the perfect example of what March Madness is all about.”  The 76-year-old Pavelka says is preparing to call Thursday night’s Sweet 16 game against Iowa.

“To have my first bobblehead come during a season like this, Nebraska’s first NCAA Tournament win, a trip to the Sweet 16,  it’s almost too perfect. I’m humbled and grateful to Husker Nation for making this career the ride of a lifetime and for the Bobblehead Hall of Fame for honoring me with a bobblehead.”

The bobbleheads are $35 each and will be available in September and you can click here to pre-order.
