There are now five Health to Go vending machines in the City of Lincoln that offer free health supplies. Lincoln-Lancaster County Health Director Kerry Kernen says the new location is on N. 27th Street under the Elaine Hammer Bridge.
“We’ve had a lot of interest in the HealthToGo machines and residents are accessing health supplies they may need with almost 3,400 products dispensed since the machines were installed in mid-January,” Kernen says.
She says items currently available include feminine hygiene products, condoms, pregnancy tests, at-home HIV tests, emergency contraception, Narcan, medication used to reverse the effects of an opioid overdose and tobacco quit kits.
The five Health to Go Machines locations are:
- North 27th Street under the Elaine Hammer Bridge, just south of Bluestem Health Main Clinic, 1021 N. 27th St.
- Carriage Park Parking Garage, 1128 “L” St., northeast corner of 11th and “L” streets, ground level next to the bike racks
- “F” Street Community Center, 1225 “F” St.
- Lincoln-Lancaster County Health Department, 3131 “O” St.
- Union Plaza, southeast corner of 21st and “P” streets
