Nebraska wins first NCAA men's basketball tourney game

The Nebraska baseball team rolled to its 10th straight win, cruising to a 10-1 win at Wichita State Tuesday. The Cornhuskers (15-5) continued to roll on road after an undefeated, nine-game homestand.

Case Sanderson was 2-for-4 with three RBI while Jett Buck was 2-for4 with two RBI. Jeter Worthley was 3-for-4 in the No. 9 spot in the order. Mac Moyer, at the top of the lineup, was 2-for-4. Nebraska piled up 13 hits, all singles. Cooper Katskee turned in another strong start for the Huskers, allowing just one earned run in five innings pitched. The Huskers bullpen combined for four innings of three-hit, shutout ball.

Buck got Nebraska on the board with an RBI single in the top of the third. Sanderson followed with a two-run single to push the lead to 3-0. The Shockers tallied one in the bottom of the fourth, but the Huskers boosted their lead with a run in the fifth, a run in the seventh and three in the ninth.

Nebraska closes its two-game series at Wichita State Wednesday. First pitch is scheduled for 2 p.m., with pregame coverage beginning at 1;30 p.m. on KLIN.
