Enrollment is now open for the 2026-2027 Lincoln Parks and Recreation preschool programs that begin in September.
The programs are as follows:
Little Sprouts Preschool – Calvert Recreation Center, 4500 Stockwell St.
This half-day, play-based preschool program is for children ages 3 through 5. Children explore nature and the world around them in an urban setting while developing important skills for school success. Enrollment options include:
- Tuesday and Thursday, 9 to 11:30 a.m., $92 per month
- Monday, Wednesday, Friday, 9 to 11:30 a.m., $127 per month
- Monday through Friday, 9 to 11:30 a.m., $219 per month
Nature Center Preschool – Pioneers Park Nature Center, 3201 S. Coddington Ave.
These play-based programs immerse children in outdoor learning through hiking, climbing, digging, building, and exploring natural spaces. Children gain school readiness skills while experiencing the natural world. Enrollment options include:
- Preschool for ages 3 through 4, Tuesday and Thursday, 9 to 11:30 a.m., $127 per month
- Prekindergarten for ages 4 through 5, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 9 to 11:30 a.m. or 12:45 to 3:15 p.m., $175 per month
Families may register online at lincoln.ne.gov/CivicRec. A nonrefundable $50 registration fee is required, and space is limited. Children must be toilet trained to participate.
