Lincoln Airport has added new online tools to its website aimed at helping travelers compare travel options and book flights departing from Lincoln.
LNK said visitors to its website can now search available routes, review schedules and book flights through an integrated FlyMyAirport platform that automatically sets Lincoln as the departure airport.
Airport officials say the goal is to help travelers more easily see flight options from Lincoln without defaulting to larger regional airports.
In addition, the airport has launched an online cost comparison calculator developed with aviation data firm Strategic Knowledge. The tool allows users to compare the total cost of flying from Lincoln with driving to other airports, including Eppley Airfield and Kansas City International Airport.
The calculator factors in driving distance, travel time, parking costs and estimated airfare differences.
Airport officials say the tools are intended to help travelers evaluate the full cost of starting a trip outside Lincoln. Lincoln Airport currently offers commercial service from United Airlines and Breeze Airways, with American Airlines flights expected to begin soon.
Travelers can access the new tools through the airport’s website: lincolnairport.com.
