Lincoln Police say a 20-year-old man has died after falling and hitting his head inside the sewer system at 65th and Logan Avenue around 3:00 Saturday morning. LPD officers responded with Lincoln Fire and Rescue and were able to locate thew man, along with two of his friends, several hundreds of yards within the sewer system.
Despite the best efforts of emergency personnel, the man died from his injuries at the scene. LPD says the preliminary investigation shows the man and his two friends were within the sewer system when the victim attempted to climb out. The victim fell from the ladder system and suffered a severe head injury.
