An 83 year old man was critically hurt after being struck by a vehicle around 5:30 Saturday evening at 15th and South Street. LPD says Chevy Equinox was traveling east on South Street approaching 15th Street when the man started crossing South Street southbound in the crosswalk at 15th Street.
The Equinox struck the man as he crossed the street. The driver did remain on-scene to speak with officers. The victim was rushed to the hospital with potentially life threatening injuries. Police say neither drugs or alcohol are believed to be factors and no citations have been issued at this point.
