The No. 10 Nebraska softball team stormed into the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic in Cathedral City, Calif., and left the prestigious early-season invitational undefeated, punctuating their stay in Southern California with a 9-0, six-inning mercy-rule win over Seattle University and a 6-0 shutout of Cal.

The Cornhuskers (11-4) have won seven in a row and rampaged through the Nutter Classic, outscoring their opponents by a combined 45-3, including three shutouts. Nebraska downed three Power Four conference schools on the weekend, including No. 11 Texas A&M and No. 13 South Carolina as well as the Golden Bears to complete their first undefeated weekend in 11 appearances at the Nutter Classic.

Against the Redhawks, Hannah Camenzind (3-0) turned in five shutout innings, allowing just four hits while striking out four. Kylee Magee threw a shutout sixth inning from the bullpen, allowing one hit while striking out one. Jordy Frahm was 2-for-3 at the plate with a home run and three RBI. Carlie Muhlbach was 2-for-2 with two RBI, while Ava Kuszak turned in an RBI triple.

In the second against Cal, Alexis Jensen (5-1) and Frahm combined for a four-hit shutout, with Frahm earning her fifth save of the year. Jensen and Frahm walked just one batter while striking out 11. Kuszak was 2-for-4 with an RBI, while Lauren Camenzind struck the big blow in the game, a grand slam in the top of the sixth. Bella Bacon was also 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI.

Nebraska now prepares to take on Oklahoma State on Thursday in Stillwater, Okla. Pregame coverage is slated for 5:45 p.m., with first pitch at 6 p.m. on KLIN.
