Lincoln Animal Control is reminding residents about the importance of spaying or neutering their pets during a month long campaign.  “Spaying and neutering your pets helps control overpopulation and may also prevent behavioral and medical issues, helping them live longer, healthier and happier lives,” said Denise Bollwitt, Animal Control Manager.

She also says pets will be calmer, more obedient and affectionate and will get along better with other pets.  “Pets will be less susceptible to certain types of cancer and less likely to roam.” Animal Control offers financial assistance to pet owners with limited incomes for part of the cost of spay/neuter services.

Contact Lincoln Animal Control at 402-441-7900 for more information. Lincoln Animal Control helped 39 pet owners spay or neuter their pets through its assistance program in fiscal year 2024-2025.
