A jury has convicted Christopher Milke of first-degree murder in the death of Tammy Leslie of Beatrice.
The verdict was returned Thursday following a trial in Gage County District Court that began Feb. 2. Jurors also found Milke guilty of four additional felonies: use of a firearm to commit a felony, kidnapping, first-degree false imprisonment and tampering with physical evidence.
Sentencing is scheduled for March 19 before Judge Rick Schreiner.
The case involved cooperation between the Nebraska Attorney General’s Office, the Gage County Attorney’s Office, the Beatrice Police Department and the Nebraska State Patrol.
