Lincoln Crime Stoppers is asking for the public’s help identifying suspects in two separate cases: one involving a fraud at a hardware store; the other involving a hit-and-run accident.

The first case occurred on Nov. 21, 2025, at the Home Depot on N. 27th Street.

LPD Video Forensics Technician Becky Keller said the victim in this case called to report someone had opened a line of credit under his name at the store, later charged $7,738 in three separate transactions.

Home Depot provided Lincoln Police with video and images of the suspect. Investigators said the suspect appeared to arrive in a U-Haul truck or similar box truck.

Photos are available below.

The second case occurred around 9:50 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 17, 2026, near 56th and “O” Street.

Keller said the driver of a late 90’s, early 2000’s Chevy S10—maroon in color, with a truck topper—was involved in a hit and run accident in the area.

Investigators believe trucks of this specific make and model are rare to see. Residents are asked to be on the look out for similar vehicles.

Photos are available below.

If you have information on either of these cases, contact Lincoln Police at (402) 441-6000 to speak with an officer, or make an anonymous report to Crime Stoppers at (402) 475-3600. An anonymous tip can be left online through lincolncrimestoppers.com.
