As the #5 Nebraska Men’s basketball team prepares to host #9 Illinois on Sunday afternoon Lincoln Police say traffic will be restricted to the Haymarket from 9th Street starting at 1:30 p.m. LPD Public Information Manager Erika Thomas says to access the Haymarket, use N Street to the south or Salt Creek Roadway from the north.
“More parking is available at the Festival lot and access to the Haymarket will be on the pedestrian bridge.” Westbound access to the Haymarket will be restricted at 9th and R, 9th and Q, 9th and P and the 9th and O access road.
“To keep people safe we’ll be out there directing traffic before and after the game and then helping provide security inside the arena during the game,” Thomas says. She says maps will be posted on their social media pages around midday Sunday.
