A Lincoln woman is in custody following a high speed chase in Seward County on Christmas Day. Around 3:30 Saturday afternoon a Seward County K-9 sergeant attempted to stop a vehicle traveling 83 in a 75 MPH zone on I-80.

The vehicle also had no license plates. The sheriff’s office says 20 year old Madisen Hansen failed to comply and continued at a high rate of speed.  Investigators say Hansen reached speeds of 120 miles per hour before getting off the interstate at the Goehner exit.

The sheriff’s office says Hansen continued to drive over 100 mph as she heading northbound on 364th Road near Agnew Road. Eventually, Hansen stopped the vehicle. Officers determined Hansen’s BAC was .16 and she was charged with aggravated DUI.

Officers also charged Hansen with felony operating a motor vehicle to avoid arrest, willful reckless driving, operating while license suspended, among other offenses.

Hansen was booked at the Seward County Detention Center.
