A 22 year old Lincoln woman is accused of biting an officer in the thigh early Monday morning.  Around 3:30 a.m. officers noticed a black Kia Optima in the lot of the park, which was closed at the time.

Officers found 22-year-old Makayla Jackson sitting in the passengers seat.  Sergeant Chris Vigil says Jackson gave officers a false name, but they  were eventually able to positively identify her and found she had an outstanding misdemeanor arrest warrant.

“Officers tried to take Jackson into custody but she fled on foot.  Officers caught up with Jackson, where she continued struggling and proceeded to bite an officer on his thigh,” Vigil says.   Officers had to use a taser to finally place her into handcuffs.

Vigil says once in custody, Jackson continued resisting officers and trying to pull away from them.  Jackson was arrested for Resisting Arrest, Assault on Officer, Obstructing a Peace Officer and False Reporting.
