Pryce Sandfort’s blistering performance at No. 13 Illinois in leading Nebraska men’s basketball to an 83-80 victory the Fighting Illini earned Sandfort co-Big Ten Player of the Week honors, the conference office announced Monday.

Sandfort piled up the Cornhuskers’ first 15 points at Illinois and 26 in the first half on his way to a career high 32 points on 12-for-18 shooting, including a career-high-tying six three-pointers. That was after he scored 14 to help Nebraska to take down Wisconsin in the midweek.

Sandfort is Nebraska’s first player-of-the-week since Bryce Williams, who earned the honor in early February of last season.
