Nebraska football appears to be heading to the Las Vegas Bowl, according to reports from On 3’s Brett McMurphy posted Saturday to X. The Cornhuskers would face Utah in the Dec. 31 game slated for a 2:30 p.m. kickoff at Allegiant Stadium, home of the NFL’s Las Vegas Raiders. The bowl selection is expected to be made official tomorrow, after the College Football Playoff field and other bowl selections are announced.
Nebraska, 7-5, ended the season with three losses in four games, including back-to-back blowout losses to Penn State and Iowa. Still, the Huskers are bowling for the second straight year after a seven-year absence. The Utes are 10-2 on the year and have won their last five games since falling 24-21 to BYU on Oct. 18. Utah closed its regular season with a 31-21 win at Kansas.
The game will be telecast on ESPN and broadcast on KLIN and Froggy 98, with pregame coverage beginning at 10:30 a.m.
