One day after being named as the Big Ten Running Back of the Year, Nebraska running back Emmett Johnson declared for the NFL Draft via X, formerly Twitter.
Johnson rushed for over 100 yards in eight of 12 games this season, rushing for 1,451 yards and 12 touchdowns. Johnson ranks second in the nation with 1,821 yards from scrimmage. Johnson was named first-team All-Big Ten running back by both the coaches and the media. He became the first-ever Nebraska Big Ten Running Back of the Year. He finished his time with the Huskers with a flourish, rushing for over 100 yards in his final five games.
Nebraska will find out its bowl destination Sunday, though Johnson will not participate in the game.
