Lincoln Police say a man was stabbed inside the parking garage at 11th and Q Street around 10:15 Thursday night. “A 19-year-old Lincoln man told officers he and another man saw the suspect sitting in the lobby of a nearby apartment building as they were leaving, “says Public Information Manager Erika Thomas.
As they walked out, Thomas says 34-year-old Michaelangelo Newell began to follow them to the parking garage. “The victim said the suspect yelled at him and then made a stabbing motion toward him with an unknown sharp object, causing a small laceration on the victim’s shoulder.”
After reviewing surveillance video of the incident, Thomas says officers identified the suspect, who was arrested and taken to the Lancaster County Jail for 2nd degree assault and use of a deadly weapon to commit a felony.
