Lincoln Police say a 12-year-old boy and a 16-year-old were taken into custody in connection with the robbery of a DoorDash driver just after 3 p.m. on December 1.  Public Information Manager Erika Thomas says a 50-year-old delivery driver said he was assaulted by several people, one of which tried to attack him with what he believed to be a knife.

“He said the incident happened when he arrived to drop off an order at an apartment in the area of Huntington Avenue and N. 43rd Street,” Thomas says.  “He told officers the individuals forcibly took the food from him without paying and one pointed a pair of scissors, before hitting him.”

The victim had minor injuries to his hands and the side of the head.  The 12-year-old male was booked into the Youth Services Center for Robbery and the 16-year-old boy was referred for robbery.
