Nebraska guard Connor Essegian announced Saturday morning on X that he will miss the rest of the season with a right ankle injury. The injury was suffered during Tuesday’s win against Winthrop. Nebraska Athletics also released the news Saturday morning. In the release from the athletic department, NU men’s basketball athletic trainer Andrew McCabe put the recovery time for Essegian’s injury at two to three months.
Essegian had played in all seven games this season for the Cornhuskers and had averaged 5.4 points per game. Last year, Essegian averaged 10.7 points per game while hitting 78 3-pointers, the most by a Nebraska player since 2018-19.
