An Oxford, Nebraska man was sentenced to decades behind bars on Wednesday for multiple crimes he committed against a 15-year-old victim in 2019.

William “Billy” Quinn  was sentenced by Furnas County District Court Judge James E. Doyle IV  to a minimum of 176 and a half years to a maximum of 304 years in prison.

Earlier this summer, a two-week trial ended with a jury finding Quinn guilty on 13 felonies,  including sex trafficking of a minor, first-degree sexual assault of a child and the production of child pornography.  To date, 18 other defendants have been arrested for crimes associated with Quinn’s actions.

“Today’s sentence is essentially a life sentence imposed on Billy Quinn,” says Nebraska Attorney General Doug Peterson.  “The sentence issued by Judge Doyle sends a strong message that those who traffic children for sex will pay a substantial penalty for their acts.”
