Lincoln Police are investigating after a 60-year old woman was found with a gunshot wound to her head.  Sergeant Chris Vigil says  they responded to the 1300 Block of North 10th about 1:45 Tuesday afternoon.

” The victim was still conscious when police and Lincoln Fire and Rescue personnel arrived to assist her.”   He says the two men who live at the home, ages 59 and 54, are still under investigation.   “No one is in custody at this point, no one has been arrested.  We are still trying to piece together what happened,” Vigil says.

He says the woman was not a resident of the home where the shooting happened.  Police are not saying what the relationship is between the woman and the two men.

She was transported to a hospital and remains in stable condition.  Officers, investigators, and crime scene technicians processed the scene for evidence, canvassed the area, and conducted interviews.  This investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is encouraged to call Lincoln Police at 402-441-6000 or Crime Stoppers at 402-475-3600.
