The wife of a man convicted of killing four people in northeast Nebraska in 2022 will spend the rest of her life behind bars. Carrie Jones was sentenced Thursday morning for assisting her husband, Jason Jones, in the murder of Gene Twiford of Laurel.

Jones was charged with first-degree murder, tampering with evidence and being an accessory to a felony.  Jason Jones was convicted on four counts of first-degree murder in the deaths of Twiford, his wife Jane, their daughter Dana and Michelle Ebeling.
