Lincoln Police were called to the 6800 block of Wildcat Lane around 10:30 Monday morning by someone who reported a man was threatening passerby’s with a large knife.

“The victim saw the man approaching vehicles, raising the knife in the air, and yelling expletives at the victim and others around,” says Sergeant Chris Vigil.    38-year-old Mitchell Prester was located nearby, matching the description given by the caller and holding a large kitchen knife.

Vigil says Prester ignored several commands to drop the knife and walked away from them in an open field.  Additional officers arrived and were eventually able to take Prester into custody without injury.

Prester was arrested for Terroristic Threats and Use of a Deadly Weapon to Commit a Felony
