A Lincoln man is in jail following a disturbance near 11th & G around 6:30 Sunday evening.  “36-year-old Jeremy Pickinpaugh stood on the sidewalk brandishing a knife at another male and told him not to talk to him,” Sergeant Chris Vigil says.

The man became concerned and called police.  Vigil says officers arrived and located Pickinpaugh in the area.  “Pickinpaugh refused officer commands and attempted to flee from officers on foot.  Officers chased Pickinpaugh, before finally catching him in the area of 10th Street and F Street.”

Vigil says after taking him into custody, a folding knife and two glass pipes were found.    Residue from one of the pipes confirmed the presence of methamphetamine.  Pickinpaugh was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, resisting arrest, and disturbing the peace.
