Lincoln Police have released more details in Wednesday afternoon’s two vehicle crash at 70th and L Street that killed a man and injured two others. LPD says the victim has been identified as 75-year-old Donald Wilson of Lincoln.
Investigators say Wilson was driving a 2020 black Nissan Kicks SUV north on 70th and attempted to turn left onto ‘L’ when it collided with a southbound 2021 gray Ford Explorer. Witnesses told LPD the Explorer was speeding and weaving in and out of traffic prior to the collision.
Wilson died and his 74-year-old wife was treated at the hospital for serious injuries. The driver of the Explorer, a 24-year-old Lincoln man, was treated at the hospital for minor injuries.
