By Tom Stanton Nov 4, 2025 | 3:57 PM

There have been new developments in a Halloween night stabbing at a home near 40th and Prescott that injured two teenagers.  LPD Public Information Manager Erika Thomas says they have arrested a 17-year-old in connection with the assault.

Officers located the teen Monday afternoon near Lincoln Northeast High School and took him into custody.  He was taken to the Youth Services Center for first degree assault and use of a weapon to commit a felony.

“The investigation revealed the teenager was involved in the altercation where he used a knife to cut and stab two male victims, ages 17 and 15,” Thomas says.  “The incident occurred during a large party after the suspect and 17-year-old victim began fighting.”

Thomas says the 17-year-old was stabbed several times.  She says he suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries which required several staples to close the wounds. The 15-year-old
suffered a superficial laceration and was treated at the hospital.
