Nebraska women’s basketball is still undefeated for the 2021-22 campaign.

The Huskers (11-0, 2-0 Big Ten) pulled away from Drake (7-3, 0-0 MVC) in the second half Sunday for the 89-68 victory.

Both teams came out on fire, shooting over 60 percent with a couple minutes left in the first quarter. Nebraska led just 45-39 at the half.

But the Huskers pulled away after the break, holding the Bulldogs to 29 points while scoring 44 themselves. That was in large part due to forcing turnovers.

Drake committed 27 turnovers on the day, including 14 NU steals, leading to 44 Nebraska points.

The Huskers shot 44.9 percent for the game, including 12-of-29 on 3s. Of the 31 made shots, 16 came off of assists.

Four Huskers scored in double-figures, led by Ashley Scoggin with 18 points.

Alexis Markowski notched her second double-double of the season, pouring in 15 points while grabbing 15 rebounds.

Sam Haiby scored 15 points, with 13 coming in the first half. Annika Steward added 10 points.

Nebraska volleyball was honored at halftime for their national runner-up finish in the NCAA Tournament.

Next up for the women’s basketball team is Wyoming on Wednesday. That will be the final non-conference game of the regular-season.
